Psalms 91:4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

There is true security in trusting the almighty God of our salvation, we also can rejoice that we who dwell under the shelter of our God and Saviour are shielded and protected under the shadow of His Holy wings. He is our Safeguard and our strong Shield; He is our Defense and our Almighty Defender.

We can positively affirm that the Lord is our Refuge and our Fortress. God protects and helps. He is the One in Whom we are to place our trust. I can say with assurance that He is the One Who delivers us from the snares of men and rescues us from every plague, both in the natural and in the spiritual realm.

The Lord is like a bird whose wings of protection overshadow us and whose strong-arm guards us when danger approaches or when we are overcome by the heat of the day or the perils of the night. I can boast that the Lord our God is our never-failing help in time of trouble and that His abiding faithfulness has become our shield and protection.

Due to our own merit that we have this wonderful assurance but because of His goodness and grace. It is nothing to do with our own worthiness or virtue that we are furnished with such heavenly privileges but is entirely founded on His unswerving fidelity and His never-ending faithfulness towards man and the children of men, for His grace and His mercies are new every morning and His promises never fail.

It’s by grace through faith that we are saved and it’s also by grace through faith that we are to live, moment by moment, and day after day. We are united all with Christ by grace through faith. We are those who have placed our trust in God and discovered Him to be our strong Shield and great Defender, our secure Protection and spiritual Covering.

Abide in Me and rest in My love, is the desire of Christ for all of us who are His. God even goes on to say, I am the True Vine and My Father is the Vine dresser, so abide in Me and I in you. When we are in Christ and resting in Him, He becomes our Rock of salvation and the perfect Shelter from every kind of danger. He has guaranteed our security and our hiding place.

Know that the cruelness of the enemy comes as a roaring lion and morphs into a snake in the grass, seeking by every means to attack, injure, harm, and discouraging all of us that are His children. Know that the serpent of old, who is called the devil and Satan, is an extreme liar and a murderer from the beginning, who deceives the whole entire world and seeks to destroy the faith of all God's blood-bought children.

God our heavenly father has promised to cover us with His pinions and provide refuge under His wings, and His faithfulness is a shield and buckler for all who trust in Him. He has promised to keep our life from all harm and danger, to protect our minds from discouragement and despair, and to safeguard our hearts with His perfect peace. What tremendous, beautiful security is ours by right, for we are accepted in the Beloved, kept under His protective wings and covered with His pinions.

Hebrews 13:5 states and promises us all that He will never fail us nor forsake us, for Christ is our promised Defense and our trustworthy Defender, and His sure pledge rests in the One that is Faithful and True. May we abide in Him and never step away from His protective covering, for His promises are sure and His mercies are new every morning. Also, in Deuteronomy 31:6 it also goes on to say, “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.
